A critical hit is a shot that does extra damage through probability. The probability of achieving a critical hit is determined by a combination of character class, skill and weapon. Note that critical hits are not headshots. Critical hits do not do as much damage as headshots and do not require a shot to the head to be initiated. Criticals do 35% more damage, whereas headshots do 45% more damage.
